Freestyle Location Update!

The current level at Little Falls is 2.75 and falling slowly and based on current upstream trends it should continue to do so for the next 24 hours. I am anticipating that we should have a fair but doable level at Bloody Good Hole/Horseshoe Wave on Saturday. At this time this is the most likely location for ALL THREE FREESTYLE CLASSES. The beginner class will surf on horseshoe and the advanced/expert classes will be scored for moves on both Bloody Good and Horseshoe. Stay tuned for more updates and have a great time this weekend!!!

Registration, Saturday Party

While registration has closed, there are a limited number of tickets for the Saturday Party, still available on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 6 pm Saturday at Rockwood Manor.

Let the games begin with the on-water clinics and demos by Liquidlogic and Jackson Kayak! We look forward to seeing you and providing super fun weekend that celebrates and respects our beloved Potomac, the Nation's River.

Final (almost) Schedule

The final schedule is pretty much set, and we updated most event descriptions to reflect this year's competition details. Some changes were necessary due to the current low water level. Make sure you check back on Friday, and don't be surprised if some details may change again, but the times and locations are pretty much up to date.

See you all this weekend!

Schedule 2007

Please keep in mind that details may change at the last minute due to the deluge of rain we're all hoping for, a dam being built across Great Falls or other random acts of fate. We will try to inform everyone of last minute changes at the check-ins.

Some Notes on Viewing the Great Falls Race

As the popularity of this event has grown, so have the number of spectators. As we anticipate a large crowd here are some guidelines to reduce crowding, promote safety for all, and to preserve our relationship with the Park Service.

Geezers from eight to eighty! Come on down to Dodge City

The Potomac Whitewater Festival is coming around again on July 13-15, and with it the infamous Wave Surfing Event. Last year's event was a blast (watch it on YouTube!) and we're ramping it up this year.
